SickKids buys imaging system from NZ Technologies
We are excited to announce that The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto has adopted our TIPSO™ Touchless Image Navigation system! This marks a significant milestone in our mission to revolutionize surgical workflows with touchless technology.

Enhancing Surgical Efficiency with TIPSO™
During complex procedures, surgeons frequently need to review medical images. Traditionally, this requires stepping away from the operating room (OR), using a keyboard and mouse, and then re-scrubbing before returning—disrupting focus, prolonging procedures, and increasing costs.
Our TIPSO™ system eliminates this inefficiency. Using proprietary sensors that recognize hand movements in 3D space, TIPSO™ allows surgeons to interact with radiology images without ever touching a surface. By simply hovering over projected icons on the surgical drape, practitioners can manipulate images in a fully sterile manner, improving workflow while reducing the need for additional imaging and patient exposure to radiation.
A Growing Presence in Leading Medical Institutions
With adoption at SickKids, NZ Technologies continues to expand across North America. Our TIPSO technology has been successfully implemented in 14 major medical institutions, including partnerships with Stanford University and the University of Miami for clinical research.
Originally designed for interventional radiology, TIPSO™ has now been validated for use in:
✔ Cardiothoracic surgery
✔ Neuro-interventional procedures
✔ Orthopedic surgery
✔ Gastrointestinal procedures
✔ Craniofacial and plastic surgeries
Pushing the Boundaries of Touchless Innovation
At NZ Technologies, we are committed to driving innovation in touchless medical technology to improve patient outcomes and surgical efficiency. The adoption of TIPSO at SickKids reinforces the growing need for sterile, intuitive, and efficient solutions in operating rooms worldwide.
